People in a thriving Leeds community say they love living in the 'friendly' and community spirited place which has a great mix of people and a picturesque park.
Horsforth is a town in North-West Leeds which is home to a busy high street, its own University and some lovely bars and cafes - it's no wonder residents love living here so much.
And the best thing about Horsforth? Free parking - the council have devised the best plan to combat terrible parkers - it's free unless you park over the parking bay, then you will be fined. It's brilliant.

Jokes aside, I visited Horsforth for the first time and instantly texted my partner to say 'we're buying our home in Horsforth' - for those who haven't visited, you must. It has a great range of cafes, restaurants and bars - which I imagine would make the perfect spot for a Saturday afternoon glass of wine.
The high street itself seemed fairly busy, of course there wasn't the hustle and bustle of The Headrow, but for a small town I was surprised. It was also nice to see a mix of people, there were lots of mums and babies in coffee shops, elderly people and younger people too.
I spent the morning in Horsforth chatting to residents on what it's like to live there.
One resident, who loves living in Horsforth said: "Where I live at the moment I've been there just over 30 years, but in Horsforth I've been here about 40.
"What I love about it is the collective mix of people, there is a lovely park and the shops are great. It's quite quiet for a city area - at the moment I tend to come here rather than going into the city centre because it has a good mixture of shops.
"I haven't been into the city centre for quite a while, it's just quieter here and the people are very friendly and hospitable - it's just very pleasant.
"The council look after it as well, the parks are kept well and there is no litter lying around - everywhere is really really clean."
Lyn, who lives just out of Horsforth but visits most days, said: "Horsforth is lovely, the people are very nice. I come here three times a week. I would say it has everything I need except a Marks and Spencer's - I have to go into Leeds for that.
"I live just outside of Horsforth but my daughter lives here and it's lovely. It has Leeds Trinity University here, and a teacher training college so it does get busy. It's a very lovely area and clean too. I love it."
Mother and daughter, Jannette and Victoria, were shopping on one of Horsforth's popular streets.
Victoria, who lives in Horsforth, said: "It's very nice, I've been here about five years now - this is my second house in Horsforth - it's quiet, the neighbours are nice and friendly and there is a nice sense of community."
Jannette, who was visiting her daughter and grandson in the area, added: "We've just been walking around and every shop we've been in somebody has stopped and chatted. It's lovely - people used to be like that in Leeds city centre when I was younger but not now."
Victoria added: "Since Covid as well people are less chatty in the city centre because they are a bit more aware of it." Jannette now visits Horsforth regularly but hadn't before her daughter moved here five years ago.
