Re:Fresh Cafe in Arnold has been given a lot of praise by customers for being so lovely and friendly. The cafe, located in the Market Place, has received praise on social media for how friendly and lovely it was after staff allowed a customer who forgot cash to take a seat and bring the cash when passing by.
We went to the cafe to try it out for ourselves. When going into the cafe there were a few customers, some sat outside enjoying a drink and some inside tucking into a full English. It’s a cute little cafe, with a relaxed atmosphere.
I went straight up to the counter and was greeted by a lovely staff member who was busy making hot drinks. As I patiently waited, a customer who I assume is a regular came in for a cake. He didn’t know what to have and said they all look so nice - I agreed with him as I was trying to make a choice too.

The lady who greeted me was nothing but kind. Throughout my visit she kept referring to me as ‘my darling’, ‘my love’, or ‘my lovely’ which I thought was so sweet. I could tell she really cared for her customers' experience at the cafe.
I ordered a small mocha which was £1.90 and a homemade chocolate fudge cake for £1.70. I thought this was cheap compared to many cafes I have been to. The mocha was spot on and the homemade cake was lovely. The cake reminded me of the chocolate cake that you’d get in school. It was so sweet and delicious.
During my visit I overheard the server, speaking to customers and joking. They spoke about what people had said on social media and the kindness of all the comments, they joked as he asked for 10p credit. As well as this she was asking regulars how they were doing and making nice conversation.
At the end of my visit I couldn’t finish the cake so I asked if it could be wrapped up so I could take it home. The cafe is one of the most welcoming I’ve been to.
It had a very warm and comforting atmosphere. I could have sat there all day.
