'We want Glazers out!' - Manchester United fans furious as Old Trafford suffers technical fault

Manchester United supporters vented their anger at the Glazer family during the closing stages of the first half of their FA Cup fourth-round clash with Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on Friday evening.

As the half time interval approached, the Old Trafford Public Address system burst into life, with an announcement informing supporters that no food or drink would be available for purchase on the concourses during the half time break because of a "technical fault."

The announcement said: "Due to a technical fault we will be unable to sell any food or beverages at half-time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Within seconds of the announcement, thousands of United supporters started chanting: 'We want Glazers out'.

As expected, the outbreak of the chant sparked an immediate reaction on social media from United's supporters watching at home on TV, as well as those inside Old Trafford.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a look at what they have had to say.

As you can see by the messages displayed in the tweets above, United's supporters are less than impressed with the announcement that came just before the half time break, pointing the blame at the Glazers and nobody else.

Whilst some supporters have seen the funny side to the situation, others have pointed out the worrying prospect of the food being wasted as it cannot be sold.

The Glazers, despite their heavy investment in the squad in recent years, are growing under more and more pressure from the United supporters and they are angry in the way that the club has been run over the last few years.
