"We've lost our beautiful girl in the most tragic way": Woman died in M6 smash days before starting dream job

The family of a young woman who died following a smash on the M6 have paid a heartbreaking tribute to their 'beautiful girl.'

Chloe Williams, 19, was the passenger of a Volkswagen Polo which was involved in a horror crash with three other vehicles on the evening of December 2.

She was due to start her dream job as an air stewardess when the tragedy happened between junction 16 and 17 of the M6 at Sandbach, in Cheshire.

Miss Williams, who is from Dudley in the West Midlands, was rushed to hospital but despite the best efforts of those involved was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 27-year-old man from Rossendale was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Miss William's family are being supported by specially trained officers. In a statement released via Cheshire Police, they said: "We have lost our beautiful girl in the most tragic way.

"She was about to start her dream career and has now had all that taken away. We ask as a family to be allowed to grieve in private."

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with information or dashcam footage from around the time of the collision to come forward.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is urged to contact Cheshire Police via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/police-forces/cheshire-constabulary/areas/cheshire/about-us/about-us/provide-more-information-about-an-appeal/quoting IML 1426483 or call 101.
