NYX has finally revealed how to pronounce its name, and it's not how you think.
Make-up brand NYX has long confused shoppers with the pronunciation of its name, but it recently stated that pronouncing each letter individually is wrong, and so is pronouncing it 'NIKES'. It confirmed on its social media that the correct pronunciation is 'NIX'.
The debate over how to say its name has been long-running, but the brand has hopefully ended it now. Its post comes after fashion giant Shein recently confirmed how to pronounce its name.

On Instagram, NYX posted a screenshot from its Twitter account which said: "It's pronounced "NIX" not N-Y-X or NIKES.". In the caption, it said: "we have something to get off our chest real quick".
The comments were very divided about the revelation, with some people were pleased to be proven right. One person said: "I love that this is still a debate LOL" and another said: "Whoever is saying Nikes needs a hug.", while a third said: "THANK YOU! All of these influencers says N Y X and I'm just sitting here like 'you don't deserve that package'".
Others were shocked to discover they had been saying the name wrong for years. One person commented: "But I like to say N-Y-X" and another said: "N-Y-X sounds better".
