If you're children are into football or rugby then there's a good chance part of your week involves standing in the rain.
This is Manchester after all and at this time of year we rarely escape a downpour when leaving the house.
Tired of getting soaked in so-called 'shower-proof' coats, myself and a couple of my fellow rugby mums decided to put the dryrobe to the test.
We'd only heard of them after one of the parents had already taken the plunge and bought one - and green with envy over how cosy and warm she was looking, we all wanted in.

It's not actually described as a winter coat as such - it's apparently 'the world's most versatile change robe'.
Worn by those active sorts who like to surf or enjoy open water swimming and the like, they're 'designed to let you get changed anywhere' - protecting you from the elements, while 'keeping you warm and dry in any climate'.
It's billed as being 'large and loose enough to pull your arms inside and get changed, but versatile enough to be worn as a coat or jacket'.
Of course it was the 'coat' element we were wanting, with the weather-resistant outer to protect us from the rain and the fluffy inner lining to keep us warm.
We knew they weren't going to be particularly flattering, and there's no escaping the large branding on the back of them, but any parent who's been freezing their bits off on the sidelines through the winter months knows that's the last of your worries.
What they are though is comfy and if it's good enough for Harry Styles, who was spotted wearing one on the film set for My Policeman, then it's good enough for us.
We all felt much warmer than we typically would on a cold Sunday morning in November and while (for once) it wasn't raining during our mini photoshoot, we've put them through their paces in various downpours and kept cosy and dry.
It's not just on the pitch where they're useful of course. Walking the dog in the rain is a much more pleasant experience when wearing one of these.
The length of them is a particular bonus for keeping your legs warm and dry and it's reassuring that you can stick your phone in the pocket - of which there are various ones on the inside and out - knowing that it will stay dry.
The hood is a godsend too. Unlike many other winter coats, where they seem to either fall back, or fall forwards and cover your eyes, this one stays in the perfect position.
You can get them in various colours and with a short or long sleeve, depending on what you'll mainly be using it for.
There's a kids range too and even dryrobes for dogs if you're pooch is feeling a bit left out.
They're not cheap - adult ones cost £160 each, with kids ones from £85. But when you're no longer heading home dripping wet and so cold you need a warm bath just to defrost, your body will certainly thank you for it.
