A new adventure was on its way for Edinburgh Live - McDonald's have finally released their new summer menu.
According to the website, the new menu includes: The Chicken Fiesta, The Spicy Spanish Stack, Halloumi Fries and a Spanish Fruit Punch. There was also a new McFlurry on the scene - a Galaxy Cookie Crumble version, as well as the Galaxy Caramel making a return.

One very lucky Edinburgh Live reporter had the pleasure of ordering all the delacicies McDonald's had to offer to their doorstep - so read on for a completely honest person's thoughts on the new summer menu at the nation's favourite fast food joint.
Step One - Ordering via the MyMcDonald's app
Since the inception of the MyMcDonald's app, getting cheap fast food to your door has never been easier. You can also earn points with each order, that count towards free food - say goodbye to that gym membership.
I ordered all the new items, but there was no Spicy Spanish Stack burgers in stock, so the restaurant opted to send us two Chicken Fiestas - not a bad trade-off.
Once ordered, the food arrived within 25-30 minutes, and was still warm when it arrived, but it obviously was not of the piping hot nature it could've been within the restaurant.
Now, for the nitty-gritty...
Step Two - First Impressions and Taste Test
Upon first sight, the food looked really tasty - the chicken burger had an orange seasoning on the bun, complete with little slices of pepperoni and a new, spicy cheese substituted in for the normal slice.
The halloumi fries were crispy and practically falling out of the box, the juice was similar looking to an Oasis, and the McFlurry's - well, they looked a bit sad but ice cream melts quickly so we can't blame them.
It was time to dive right into the taste test, and I began with the halloumi fries, as I was most excited about them to begin with. The right amount of saltiness, crispy outer coating and cheese inside made for a delightful side dish.
Then came the burger. On first impressions, the chicken was cooked well and the spice blended well together. But the more I ate, the more I realised how bland it was if you didn't have a bite of pepperoni in the burger. There was overall no significant change in this burger to a Chicken Legend, other than the small pieces of pepperoni.
The drink, a Summer Fruit Punch, was just as it looked - an Oasis with crushed ice in a different cup. It was tasty, but was too similar to a drink they sell on the regular.
The McFlurry's were both really good, no complaints there. The cookie crumble was a great addition, and with the plus of chocolate sauce, definitely something I'll order again.
Step Three - Final Thoughts
Overall, the food was exciting and delicious looking upon arrival, but was simply mediocre when consumed. Special shout-out goes to the halloumi fries, as they were all they lived up to be.
No obvious stand-out bad moments, but it will be good to taste the Spicy Spanish Stack and see if that is really the star of the show.
The McDonalds summer menu is out now across the UK. It can be ordered via the MyMcDonalds app, or in store for collection.
