We tried the ostentatiously named Bad Boy Burgers joint in Leeds to see if their popular burgers met high expectations.
The takeaway is based in Stainbeck Avenue in Meanwood and serves up a variety of American style takeaway food. There's a whole variety of beef burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, loaded fries and sides on offer.
I went for the Triple Bad Boy Burger as part of the 'Bad Boy Beef Burger Meal Deal'. This included a beef patty, American cheese, bacon and pulled pork and coleslaw.

The burger came served in a brioche bun with a side of 'Bad Boy Fries'. These are loaded fries topped with cheddar cheese, bacon sprinkle, 'baconnaise' and pulled pork - which I purchased for a little extra.
The burger came smaller than expected - I'd been expecting a colossal tower of meat. My displeasure lasted for mere moments as the burger tasted phenomenal, it wasn't greasy at all and the streaky bacon rasher was thick and crispy.
The loaded 'Bad Boy Fries' came in a really big portion. There was lots of loaded meat, you get your money's worth there and it looked very tasteful as well - the bacon sprinkles were aesthetically pleasing, crumbled across the melted cheese.
The 'Bad Boy' chicken wings weren't as impressive. The sauce was minimal and the wings clearly hadn't been cooked in sauce. They tasted mostly plain except for the mere lashings of sauce on top. It seemed like a low effort starter.
The caramel apple pie, which came with apples and custard topped with sweet caramel fudge and salted caramel sauce, tasted marvellous. It all just went together so exquisitely.
Altogether, a really fine meal with some truly exceptional burgers. Bad Boy Burgers take their burgers seriously and it shows, a cut above.
