In case you might have missed it, one of our favourite geeky bars in the capital recently unveiled its latest transformation – a Star Wars-themed pop-up called the Cantina.
The Cocktail Geeks, who are known for their themed pop-ups which in the past have included Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park, Breaking Bad and the Lord of the Rings, have spent three months transforming their space on East Market Street.
Transporting fans to a galaxy far far away, their new cocktail menu includes a selection of glowing Kyber Highballs inspired by the crystals at the heart of every lightsaber.

And as fans of the epic film franchise, Edinburgh Live couldn't wait to head along to find out more.
Once inside, we found little nods to Star Wars everywhere, from the decor and the bar staff's uniforms (Imperial officer chic) to the aforementioned cocktails and even the soundtrack.
The interior is incredible, featuring eye-catching items like a clever depiction of a storm trooper as a bartender and the famous Han Solo frozen in Carbonite.
Once we were sat down, we got a good look at the menu, which included the Legends, their signature cocktails, and also their light sabre-themed Khyber Crystal high balls.
We started off with the Green Khyber and a Bantha – Blue – Milk (eat your heart out Luke), which used interesting ingredients such as Chinese Five Spice to open up our taste buds, whilst the highball was a light and refreshing drink which also glowed green – just like Luke's famous weapon in Return of the Jedi.
Next, we tried the Revnog, which was a concoction of Cognac and Rum and satisfied our tropical needs, and a drink called the 'Chosen One', which was a milk punch with delicious, strawberry notes.
Finally, we tried something a little stronger in the form of Beskar, which was a nod to the Mandalorian series and their riff on an Old Fashioned.
Overall, the setting, cocktails and staff were absolutely fantastic, they knew everything and anything about the drinks on the menu as well as the films and made sure our time spent in the Cantina was well worth it.
A great spot for cocktail lovers and Star Wars geeks alike we can’t wait to see what geniuses at the Cocktail Geeks come up with next.
