Duck & Waffle in Edinburgh is arguably the most trendy restaurant in the capital with its plush modern design and Instagrammable decor.
Their quirky dishes have wowed many a diner who has ventured to the St James Quarter eatery.
Their signature dish of duck, waffle, fried egg and maple syrup has been a massive hit with customers but now the space is offering a unique terrace experience that includes tasty bites, delicious tacos, small plates and inventive summer cocktails.

The menu is perfect for those looking for something light whilst enjoying the warm weather and a day out in the city centre at the rooftop terrace.
Culinary director Daniel Barbosa and executive chef Lucia Gregusova have designed the menu that supplies a wide range of different flavours and textures.
Included in the bites section are: Cheesy polenta croquetas with black truffle mayo (£4); a half dozen oysters (£17); bacon wrapped dates (£7); Corn ‘ribs (£8); Bbq-spiced pig ears (£7.50).
Whilst the Tacos include: Grilled fish with tomatillo salsa, lime, red onion and coriander (£8); Cauliflower tinga with slaw, coriander, spring onion and red chilli (£8); Tuna tostada with crispy onion, lime and jalapeño salsa (£10); Duck barbacoa with avocado, coriander, lime and salsa taquero (£10).
Finally the small plates: Steamed Scottish mussels with preserved lemon, fennel, fermented chilli and french fries (£16); Foie gras créme brülée with pork crackling, marmalade and brioche (£14); Summer chopped salad with lettuce, heritage tomatoes, olives, croutons and house dressing (£5); French fries with truffle and parmesan (£7).
Looking for something that would just tide us over until dinner, we opted for a couple of bites and a couple of tacos.
The cheesy croquetas were delicious albeit very bitesize but the black truffle mayo was a real winner with the taste buds.
Having had oysters hyped up by all the patter that surrounds them we were both excited to see what the fuss was all about.
They were described to us as a Marmite style delicacy - you either love them or hate them - and that was certainly true between my fiancée and I.
I enjoyed the freshness of the oysters but Cathy unfortunately felt as though it was like swallowing a mouthful of seawater - despite this we felt rather posh slurping them down.
The tacos were scrumptious with the duck barbacoa being our favourite due to it having a neat little kick and sweet flavour.
The grilled fish taco was awesome and the salsa and onion gave you a real natural flavour.
Of course no day out at Duck & Waffle would be complete without sampling some of the new cocktails they have concocted for the rooftop terrace menu.
I opted for ‘The Fire Quacker’ which is made up of Patron silver, chilli, coriander, lime, sugar and soda - each gulp packed a punch but it was surprisingly tasty and went well with the duck taco.
Cathy decided to go for the ‘Just Peachy’ as she was feeling in a summery mood and this was made up of Grey Goose Essence white peach and rosemary, créme de peche, lemon and Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic - it was the ideal refreshment for escaping the heat.
The restaurant's new terrace, which overlooks Princes Street, is open until 10pm at night and you can view the full menu here.
