Gourmet Food Parlour has a number of restaurants dotted around Dublin, serving diners in Malahide, Swords, Dun Laoghaire and Santry.
We headed to the Santry restaurant for dinner and had starters, main and a dessert. The most striking thing about eating here is the generous portion sizes which will leave you more than satisfied.
Before ordering food, cocktails were ordered, specifically an Aperol Spritz. For starters, we ordered the Beef and Chorizo Meatballs served in a rich Marinara sauce, topped with parmesan shavings and served with some toasted focaccia.

We also got the Falafel Taco which comes with rocket, red onion, hummus and pomegranate seeds. And we went for a side order of rustic bread served with hummus, pesto and sun dried tomato pesto.
After a hearty feed already, it was time for the mains, opting for the Rib-Eye Steak, adding prawns for an extra €6. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth and the prawns were cooked to perfection.

There was also the Thai Red Crumbled Sweet Potato and Red Pepper Curry. Portion sizes are very generous and we ended up taking what was left of ours to go.
Next up, it was time to try the dessert menu. We went for the Apple Tart Tatin and the Warm Cookie Dough Oreo Brownie.
The Apple Tart Tatin was a culinary highlight. Served with perfect vanilla ice cream, it's a must-try. We finished the evening with some non-alcoholic Espresso Martinis.

Service here is polite yet attentive and the menu is affordable, with options to suit all palettes.
You can book a table at Gourmet Food Parlour on the restaurant's website.
