Finding the right pair of jeans can be difficult at the best of times, but when you have to take into consideration how long your legs are, your thigh to waist ratio and if the material is actually comfortable, it can feel impossible.
In The Style claims to have a range of jeans that works for everyone, with them having petite, regular and tall length options and a wide range of sizes from 6 to 28. It's a huge range of sizes which makes it more accessible to shoppers, but do the jeans live up to the hype?
We decided to test them out, seeing if one pair of jeans can truly suit petite, tall and curvy girls alike. Opting for the Straight Leg Jeans, which are currently retailing at £26, we found out if they're really as comfortable and true to size as they claim.
Shani Cohen tried out the Straight Leg Jeans and said that they're so comfortable that she's happy to swap out her typical gym leggings for the wardrobe staple.
She said: "Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a gym leggings kind of gal, and it’s pretty rare for me to switch out my buttery soft Adanola’s for a pair of jeans. Being 5ft 2 with absolutely no hips, I’ve always found it tricky finding jeans to fit as they’re often way too long or too big around my waist, leaving a huge gape at the back.
"Despite my reservations about purchasing jeans online, I was immediately impressed with the huge range of sizes and length options available for these celeb-loved Straight Leg Jean from In The Style - not to mention the flattering cut and stylish mid-blue colour. I ordered the jeans in a petite size 6, and as soon as I popped them on I was pleasantly surprised."
Being fairly short Shani would typically struggle to find jeans that fit her legs perfectly without needing to be hemmed, but she found that these In The Style jeans were a great option.
Shani said: "Not only were they the perfect length, just covering the tops of my trainers without dragging on the floor, but they actually fit my waist with no gaping at all (now that’s a BIG deal for me). As well as fitting perfectly, they’re super comfortable too thanks to the soft, stretchy denim which is quite hard to find in jeans - especially when wearing them for the first time.
"I styled the jeans with my casual New Balance trainers, a black polo neck and a grey padded jacket from Zara for a casual 'out to brunch' look - however these jeans would look equally great dressed up with a pair of heels or boots for a night out with friends, or even date night! It’s safe to say I’m happy to leave my gym leggings in the wardrobe after trying out these jeans."
Stacey Dutton was left just as happy with the level of comfort in the Straight Leg Jeans, opting for . She said: “My initial thought was 'just size up, they will be uncomfortable on your tummy', but I didn't listen to the devil on my shoulder and ordered a 10. Thankfully, In The Style have nailed the sizing for me with the straight cut jeans.
"I have now worn this lovely denim fit on two occasions up to now. The first time was at a Bongo's Bingo event on St Patrick's Day, and second time, on a day out with family - and they have passed the comfort test with flying colours!
"I love that they are a really soft, almost stretchy denim with plenty of room for movement - and the way they fit over my trainers and boots, is a really snug fit too.
"I would absolutely recommend this pair to anybody, especially those who struggle with denim fitting correctly in all the right places! I have danced the night away and gone on a big family day out in them, and didn't once even think about missing my oversized joggers I had left behind at home.”
Sarah Bradbury is six foot tall and as a result often finds that jeans are too short, but opting for the tall jeans she found a perfect fit.
She said: “As someone who’s about 6ft tall, I’ve always found it difficult finding a pair of jeans that are long enough - but the Straight Leg Jean? Might even be a little too long!”
