We simulated Liverpool vs West Ham to get a Premier League score prediction

Liverpool can try to build on their big win against Manchester City when they face West Ham United in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Liverpool fans witnessed an intensity and a level of performance in their last outing that has been sorely missed this season, with Mohamed Salah scoring the only goal in their 1-0 victory over City. Now, the task at hand for the Reds is to carry their momentum forward into tonight's clash with West Ham.

The last meeting between these two sides saw Jurgen Klopp 's men beat the Hammers 1-0, with Sadio Mane scoring the only goal. But, they have received more injury news ahead of this latest meeting, with Diogo Jota ruled out until after the World Cup.

So, can the Reds back it back-to-back victories? We simulated the game to find out. To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We simulated Liverpool vs West Ham to get a score prediction

We predict that West Ham could set up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Fabianski; Johnson, Keher, Cresswell; Coufal, Soucek, Rice, Emerson; Bowen, Antonio, Paqueta.

Liverpool dominated the opening stages of the game, with Salah impressing in the sole striker role, whilst Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott were thriving on either wing. Nunez's ability to run at defenders was causing all sorts of problems, and the Uruguayan played a major role in the Reds taking the lead.

Nunez picked up the ball on the halfway line, and the striker surged down the left before cutting inside and playing a pass across the pitch for Elliott. In a two-versus-one situation with the defender, Elliott opted to square the ball to Salah, and the Egyptian swept his effort into the top corner to hand Liverpool the lead.

The Reds entered the break with a goal advantage, but it could've been more. They looked dangerous from set-pieces in the simulation, and Fabinho doubled the lead with 26 minutes remaining through a remarkable acrobatic effort.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner was punched more up than out by Lukas Fabianski, falling to Fabinho in the centre of the box. The Brazilian was the quickest to react, and he met the dropping ball with a fantastic overhead kick, sending his shot into the top corner.

West Ham had rarely threatened the Liverpool goal as Klopp's side had a controlling grip on the game, and they secured the win with seven minutes to go as Salah grabbed his second.

Another Alexander-Arnold corner into the box was met by a Liverpool head, with Salah latching on to the powerful cross at the near post. The forward flicked the ball toward goal, flying past the 'keeper and into the roof of the net.
