We simulated Celtic vs Livingston to get a score prediction as Aaron Mooy continues fine run of form

Celtic will look to make it six wins in a row on Wednesday evening when they face Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.

Aaron Mooy and Jota both scored as Celtic beat Dundee United 2-0 in their last outing, with the victory keeping the Hoops nine points clear of Rangers in second. It was also the sixth consecutive clean sheet that Ange Postecoglou 's side have kept in all competitions, with their last defeat coming against Real Madrid on November 2.

Wednesday’s clash will be the third meeting between the two sides so far this season, with Celtic winning 2-1 and 3-0 in the first two. Livingston have proven a bogey team for the Hoops at times in the past, so Celtic will be hoping they can avoid any slip-up this time round.

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the Celtic squad with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that the visitors could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: George; Devlin, Fitzwater, Boyes, Penrice; Omeonga, Kelly, Pittman; Bradley, Anderson, Kelly.

Celtic thought they had taken the lead after just six minutes when Kyogo Furuhashi chipped Shamal George in net as the 'keeper rushed off his line, but a fantastic goal-line clearance from Morgan Boyes kept the score level. It took a little while for the Hoops to find thier groove, but when they did, they took the lead.

A man in form, Aaron Mooy was the scorer, with the goal coming in the 38th minute of the game. Matthew O'Riley skipped through the Livingston midfield before finding the advanced run of Mooy, and on his right foot, the Australian arrowed a powerful effort into the top corner of the net.

After taking the lead, neither side really threatened to score, with some gloss needed on the game. Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers both came close with long range efforts, but Celtic eventually doubled their lead after 82 minutes through Kyogo.

Scott Pittman was indecisive on the ball as his side were pressed high up the pitch, and strong challenge from Mooy saw the ball run forward and into the path of Kyogo, now one-on-one with the 'keeper. The striker took his shot early with defenders breathing down his neck, and a fantastic striker saw his effort curl away from the 'keeper and into the corner for 2-0.
