'We see your work' - Manchester United fans credit Erik ten Hag staff member for Marcus Rashford's form

Marcus Rashford has been back in form this season and both his club and country are prospering.

His good form for Manchester United saw him recalled to the England squad by Gareth Southgate in time for the 2022 World Cup. And he rewarded his manager's faith in him with three goals so far during the competition, making him the joint top scorer currently alongside Kylian Mbappe and Cody Gakpo.

With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo for free after his interview with Piers Morgan, a lot of pressure is going to be put on Rashford to provide the goals even if the club brings in reinforcements in the summer.

But as United's current leading scorer, you would expect that he is up to the task. In an interview earlier this season he attributed the rediscovery of his form to one man, Erik Ten Hag's newly-appointed coach Benni McCarthy.

When Sky Sports asked Rashford what he thought of McCarthy's impact he replied: “He’s definitely helped me a lot. To have them attack-minded coaches is good for us in the squad, he’s always there speaking to us about these things.”

And he is not the only player who has praised the former Porto and Blackburn striker. Bruno Fernandes told the media: “He is a really funny person, he’s always positive, he has good energy in the dressing room and training ground… He was quality as a player and is quality as a manager because we do many drills from finishing, headers many stuff that he was really doing when he was playing and it can help us score some goals.

“Sometimes we joke, I tell him he was not ‘that good’ playing for FC Porto and he was dropping so many times and obviously our assistant coach Mitchell [van der Gaag] was playing in Portugal too and they know each other. They always joke around about when they played so that positive vibe and good energy can be helpful for us during the season.”

And it seems fans are also cottoning on to McCarthy's impact as after Rashford's brace against Wales they were quick to heap praise on the South African coach:
