Nobody enjoys sitting in traffic jams, but when you've got so many troublesome routes, roads and junctions they can be difficult to avoid.
Rush hour is a manic time for any driver and "beating the rush hour traffic" is a phrase used all too often.
Across Merseyside there are roads which seem to attract traffic jams persistently, rush hour or not. With the warmer weather, we saw a glimpse of traffic issues unfolding over the bank holiday weekend. National Trust Formby tweeted out their car park was full and closed as they urged people to ''please travel by train''. All those summer getaways coming up are bound to cause traffic issues too.
Car Rental experts at StressFreeCarRental.com reviewed the numbers and found Liverpool to be the third most congested city in the UK, with rush hour speed being on average 14mph. This puts Liverpool just after London and Manchester. Not ideal if you're heading anywhere in a hurry.
Traffic jams may not be the end of the world, but they are certainly infuriating. After a long day in the office the last thing any of us want to be doing is sitting at a standstill for what feels like an eternity.
The city if full of busy roads, but what one is worst for traffic? What is that one road you avoid?
