Frank Lampard has revealed that strengthening Everton's attack is going to be the club's priority during the January transfer window.
The window is just weeks away from opening for business and the month already has a huge feeling about it for the Blues. Everton return to Premier League action on Monday just one place above the relegation zone.
The ECHO reported back in November that Everton had a list of players drawn up to target during the window and that strengthening their attacking options was the priority, with the club exploring the potential to sign more than one forward player.

Lampard told the ECHO preparations for the window had been ongoing for some time, and that he, and director of football Kevin Thelwell, who he gets on well with, have a list of targets and are in constant communication over their plans.
Salomon Rondon has already left the club after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract six months before it was due to expire. And Lampard has revealed that following the exit of the forward, and his side’s inability to score goals so far this season, improving in attack is the club's priority as his side need 'help' in that part of the pitch.
“I think with this as I have come to the club we were relatively busy in the summer window in terms of trying to change the shape of the team and move forward,” he told evertontv.
“It was also going to be a job that would take windows. It would take time and you can’t fix what you may want to in one window. I think we brought some really good players into the club, but we do feel we need help in the January window in terms of right now.
“We have lost Dominic, obviously. Hopefully that changes but we can see there that maybe can we get some more options for us at the top end of the pitch. We are certainly looking at that.”
