It's a spooky forest out the front of Ian and Connie Warburton's house in Wanniassa for this year's Canberra Halloween House.
And there will be more time to take in all the displays - including the iconic haunted house section, which has scared the bejesus out of generations of Halloween lovers.
It's the 12th year the creative couple have put on the Halloween house, opening their yard and garage to thousands of people each year.
The Warburtons are again collecting gold coin donations for the Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation to brighten the lives of children in the ACT and surrounding region who are living with serious illnesses.
And Connie, again, has made 3000 lolly bags for trick or treaters.
The 12 years have whizzed by and they've always tried to go bigger and better each year.
"We're great with power boards and power cords and double adaptors," Ian said, with a laugh.
They had about 3000 people visit the house last year.
"The queue went right down to the end of the road and it was about a 45-minute wait to get into the house and it was like that from about 5.30-ish to 9.30-ish," Ian said.
This year, they have added on some extra days and included some interactive fun for people waiting in the queue, including a slime station.
"We've got a few more houses on the street this year who'll take trick or treaters, so it should be good," Connie said.
The opening times for the Halloween House this year are:
- Thursday, October 31: 4.30pm to 9.30pm
- Friday, November 1: 6pm to 9.30pm
- Sunday, November 3: 6pm to 9.30pm
- Monday, November 4: 6pm to 9.30pm
- Tuesday, November 5: 6pm to 9.30pm
Next year, will be a big one - spooky No.13.
Just before next Halloween, the Warburtons will be defending their title after winning the last Outback Air Race in 2022, raising almost $20,000 along the way for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The race only comes around every three years and next year it will be in September - peak Halloween preparation time.
The 2025 event will start from Yulara in the Northern Territory and finish in Carnarvon Western Australia.
The couple, who raced as The Wacky Warbos, won the air race in 2022 in their 1974 Piper Cherokee 140, which they affectionately call the "the family truckster".
They're loving life - including Halloween.
"It's a bit of on obsession," Connie said.
"Every year I seem to find something that will just add a little bit to what we have. Hopefully, this year there's some things people haven't seen before."
