Leicester City midfielder James Maddison spoke openly after the Foxes' defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, suggesting that the away side 'needed to score' when they were on top in the game.
Erik ten Hag's side secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Brendan Rodgers' men at Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford (2) and Jadon Sancho both on the scoresheet for the home side. The Reds were lucky to be level at the half-time break, but United came out of the blocks firing in the second period and were worthy winners in the end.
The Foxes had several opportunities to take the lead in the first half, but David de Gea was in superb form and made two spectacular saves to deny the visitors. Leicester had 11 shots in total in the first period, with two of those coming on target. Despite having less of the ball, Rodgers' men were still able to create two clear goalscoring opportunities, but were unable to take them.

It proved to be costly for the away side, with United scoring twice after the break to ensure they secured all three points. After the game, Maddison - who captained the Foxes at Old Trafford - admitted that they paid the price for being wasteful in the first half.
"I think we dominated the first half, but the problem is, when you come to places like this, at top teams away from home, you've got to score when you're on top, and we know that, everyone knows that," Maddison told Sky Sports. "David de Gea makes a few brilliant saves and we have a few near-misses.
"We were pilling on so much pressure and you've got to score when you have that period in the game, because you know that you can get punished at this level."
United increased their lead over fourth-placed Newcastle United with the victory over Leicester, with the Magpies having lost to Liverpool on Saturday. The Reds now sit third in the Premier League table, just three points behind rivals Manchester City.
