We found covid lateral flow tests in Tesco in Long Eaton and were surprised at difference

It has been difficult to buy lateral flow tests in Nottingham. From April 1, the government no longer provides free Covid-19 tests for the population as a part of the plan to learn to live with the virus.

After trying to buy a lateral flow test in Nottingham city centre at shops such as Boots and Superdrug, we managed to find one in Tesco on Waverley Street in Long Eaton.

It’s a self-testing rapid test. It was easy to buy and was £2 for one test.

It comes with one Covid test and takes 15 minutes for a result. It was found opposite the pharmacy counter, at the end of the medical and toiletry isles.

We were surprised by the difference in the test of what we are used to receiving through the post. Throughout the pandemic we would receive a bigger box with more tests with a swab which was much bigger.

But this is just a small kit and the size of the swab is a lot smaller. The kit still comes with the swab, extraction tube, test cassette and biohazard waste bag.
