Jamie Carragher and Mohamed Salah's agent Ramy Abbas have joked about their Twitter exchange after the Liverpool star penned a new three-year deal on Friday.
The Egyptian's agent caused some controversy earlier in the day with another cryptic tweet. Abbas once again shared a laughing emoji without context, which drew some criticism with some supporters calling it 'childish'.
Former Reds defender Carragher also weighed in on the matter, tweeting: "All Reds love your client, and if he is to leave next summer we will wish him well & say a big thank you. But we can do without this cryptic crap for the next 12 months! Mo Salah have a word!!"

Less than an hour after the tweet was shared by the Sky Sports pundit, news emerged Salah has penned a new deal and will remain at Anfield until 2025. He's believed to be earning roughly £350k a week, which makes him the highest paid player in the club's history.
Carragher was quick to backtrack on Twitter and make light of the situation, quoting his own tweet saying: "We fooled them all chief." Abbas himself then responded to the former Liverpool defender with more laughing emojis.
Since joining the Reds from Roma in 2017, Salah has made over 250 appearances for the Reds. He's scored 156 goals and registered 63 assists in that time.
With the club, he's won everything he possibly can and has played an integral part in Liverpool's success in recent years. He's claimed the golden boot on three occasions and has been named PFA Player of the Year twice.
