'We created a lot' - Wolves defender claims his side deserved more from Leeds United defeat

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nathan Collins believes his side deserved more from their trip to Leeds United on Saturday. The Whites came from behind to defeat Wolves 2-1 thanks to Rodrigo Moreno and an own goal from Rayan Ait Nouri.

Bruno Lage’s men had taken the lead early inside six minutes thanks to Daniel Podence’s goal but failed to build on their positive start. Wolves were able to create some decent chances throughout the first half and dominated in the early stages after the break.

They were, though, unable to capitalise on that and were undone by a strong end to the match by Leeds following Jesse Marsch’s substitutions. Speaking to Wolves.co.uk after the game, Collins – who was also linked with Leeds during the summer before his move to Molineux – thought his side created enough chances to come away with something and claimed there could have been a foul in the build-up to Leeds’ winner.

He said: “I believe so. I thought we played well enough, I thought we created enough on the day, and I thought we defended well to have taken something away from this game.

“I thought we created a lot, I thought we did well as a unit and defended well, but to be fair, they created a few chances and that’s the Premier League, it’s going to happen, but overall, I thought we were good.

“I think so. I think if that happened in the box by a defender, then maybe it’s a foul, but I’d need to see it back, rewatch it and have another look.”
