The cost of living is increasing meaning that many people will be trying even harder to save the pennies wherever they can.
Food and clothing can be shockingly expensive, but so can toiletries if you find a variety of products run out at the same time resulting in a large shop to replenish your stock.
We’ve put B&M, Superdrug, Savers and Boots to the test to find out how much the basic toiletries cost from each retailer.

At each store, we shopped for toilet rolls, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, hand wash, sanitary towels and tampons.
We tried to find exactly the same products from each shop, but where this wasn’t possible, we looked at the next best thing.
