Former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has brutally snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo and declared Carlos Tevez was his favourite ever teammate at Old Trafford.
The Derby County manager spent thirteen years on the red side of Manchester during his playing career, lining up alongside the likes of Ronaldo, Robin van Persie, Dimitar Berbatov, and many more.
While top strikers and midfielders came and went at Old Trafford, Rooney was a staple at United until his move to Everton in the summer of 2017.
The Englishman won five Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, four League Cups, the Club World Cup and the Europa League during his trophy laden spell at the club.
But despite the plethora of talent he shared a United dressing room with, Rooney selected the Argentinean ace as his favourite ever strike partner.

“I just loved our connection,” Rooney said about the former Manchester City and Juventus ace in an interview with Sport Bible.
“The two of us up front, we complimented each other really well.
“Normally if I played with Louis Saha, Ruud van Nistelrooy or Robin van Persie – these strikers were always the No.9 and I'd play as a No.10.
“With Tevez we could rotate, I'd be the No.9, he'd take the No.9 spot and I'd be No.10.
“When we lost the ball we'd be like two bulls trying to get it back. As a strike partner, he was the one I enjoyed playing with the most.”
Tevez spent two seasons on loan at Manchester United from West Ham between 2007 and 2009.
While his stay at Old Trafford was very brief, the striker won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the League Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his brief stay at Old Trafford.
However, in a very dramatic turn of events, Manchester City beat United to his signature in 2009 when they splashed out £20.4million for his services.
To rub further salt into United and Sir Alex Ferguson’s wounds, the Citizens even unveiled an enormous ‘Welcome to Manchester’ sign, emblazoned with a picture of Tevez celebrating.
While his time at the Etihad Stadium was littered with controversy and high-profile falling outs with manager Roberto Mancini, Tevez won the FA Cup and City’s first ever Premier League title.
He went on to play for Juventus and Boca Juniors, before a lucrative move to Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua which briefly saw him become the highest paid football player in the world.
And Rooney also believes his connection with the mercurial Argentine was so good, that he even sensed himself that United might miss out on his signature.
“I enjoyed playing with him that much and I knew something was going on because there was the issue with his ownership in terms of whether it was the club or an agent,” Rooney added when reflecting on Tevez’s controversial move to Manchester City.
“It was actually very cheap to buy him and for whatever reason we didn't buy him.
“I think Man City got him for about £20 million, which is incredible really.
“You saw what a great player he was when he went there. I was devastated.”
