Wayne Riley had a successful professional career, but he has arguably made an even bigger impression as one of the most popular members of Sky Sports' golf broadcast team.

Here are 15 things to know about the witty Australian.

1. Wayne Riley was born in Sydney, Australia on 17 September 1962.

2. He turned professional at the age of 15, initially playing on the PGA Tour of Australasia.

3. Riley's first professional victory on the circuit came in 1984 at the Victorian PGA Championship. He eventually won three more times on the Tour, with the highest-profile being the 1991 Australian Open.

4. In 1984, he came through the European Tour's Q-School, but he had to be patient for his first win. It finally arrived at the 1995 Scottish Open at Carnoustie, where he beat Nick Faldo by two.

5. Riley then picked up his sixth and final professional win on the European Tour's Portuguese Open the following year.

6. He made a total of 11 Major appearances in his professional career - 10 at The Open and one at the US Open. Riley's best finish in a Major was a T33 at the 1985 Open at Royal St George's.

7. He played for Australia in the 1996 Alfred Dunhill Cup and the 1997 World Cup.

8. Riley achieved a career-high world ranking of 62nd on 7 July 1996.

9. He started working for Sky in 2005, where his witty and insightful style has endeared him to golf fans.

10. A hallmark of Riley's broadcasting is his amusing antics, including imitating Elvis Presley at TPC Southwind in Memphis ahead of the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational, donning a bear costume at PGA National's famous Bear Trap, and humorously recreating famous golf shots.

11. Riley's nickname is Radar, which he acquired after the character Radar O'Reilly from M.A.S.H.

12. Per his DP World Tour bio, he is a supporter of Chelsea FC soccer club.

13. Riley's other interests away from the game include bikes, cars and music.

14. He has previously admitted to having a fear of flying.

15. Riley is a PING Brand Ambassador and he reguarly plays against fellow Ping professionals in a YouTube series called 'A Round With Radar'.
