Water-borne diseases spread in Pakistan following floods

Water has started receding in parts of Pakistan after the worst monsoon floods in history. But now, a second disaster is looming with cases of water-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue fever rising, as stagnant waters have become breeding grounds for mosquitos. We take a closer look.

Also, as people in Sri Lanka continue to suffer the fallout of the country's worst economic and social crisis since independence, the Tamil community is particularly hard hit. Sri Lanka's largest ethnic minority, living mostly in the north and the east of the country, was still struggling to recover from decades of civil war that ended in 2009 before the current economic crisis began. 

Finally, we see how some homeowners in China are resisting urban sprawl by refusing to sell their property to make way for new development. The result are so-called nail houses that are left isolated on construction sites and parking lots.
