As was the case with plenty of franchises around the league, many fans of the Boston Celtics had been clamoring for their favorite team to take a flier on Bol Bol, a 7-foot-2 big man who could also shoot the ball, in the 2019 NBA draft.
And while it was ultimately the Miami Heat who would take the Oregon product with the 44th pick of that year’s draft, he has since mostly languished on the bench of the Denver Nuggets, to whom he was traded immediately after the draft. Now, after three seasons with the Nuggets, he has been dealt to the Celtics in the three-team trade that sent him and PJ Dozier to Boston and Juancho Hernangomez to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week.
He has put up a career average of 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while having a career average of 37.8% from deep. If you want to try to see how much potential might still be untapped in the third-year player’s game, or just want a look at how he moves on the court, check out this clip put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski embedded below.
