Saturday night’s on-field workouts at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine were full of impressive performances from the defensive line, linebacker and edge defender groups, but few moments were as eye-popping as the 40-yard dash run by Virginia Tech’s Amaré Barno.
At 6-5, 246 pounds, Barno ran a blazing time of 4.36 seconds, the fastest by a defensive lineman or linebacker at the combine since 2003.
With that kind of rare speed and explosiveness, don’t be surprise if Barno’s draft stock goes flying up in the coming weeks leading up to the 2022 NFL draft.
