Watch: Unseen Engels Celtic vs Kilmarnock moment shows midfielder's mentality

Arne Engels was visibly infuriated as he hit the bar in Celtic's 5-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers made four changes to his starting lineup from last weekend's 1-0 loss to St Johnstone, as Liam Scales, Greg Taylor, James Forrest and Adam Idah all came in at the expense of Auston Trusty, Jeffrey Schlupp, Nicolas Kuhn and Jota

His team romped to an emphatic triumph as Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Anthony Ralston got in on the act.

Celtic were 4-0 up within 24 minutes, and for the majority of the second half, they maintained a 4-1 advantage after Danny Arsmtrong's consolation goal for the visitors.

Despite being well ahead and comfortable in the game, the hosts continually asserted their dominance throughout. Indeed, Engels looked to make it 5-1 with just under 15 minutes to go, although his curling effort rattled the crossbar.

The Belgian was visibly frustrated after his shot didn't go in, punching the air and appearing greatly annoyed:

The moment is a testament to Engels' elite mentality. Despite his side being 4-1 up and cruising at the time, he was still hugely frustrated he couldn't make it five and get himself in on the act.

The 21-year-old joined Celtic last summer for a record-breaking £11m. He has since made 46 appearances in green and white, scoring 10 goals and assisting 12.

He will look to complete a clean sweep of domestic trophies in his first year in Scotland over the coming month and more.
