Popular streamer and YouTube star IShowSpeed has been known to challenge athletes at their own game. He clearly hasn’t learnt his lesson, as he was recently beaten up in a sparring session with UFC star Dan Hooker at his gym in New Zealand.
UFC Star Dan Hooker Batters IShowSpeed In Sparring
Best known for his exploits as a YouTuber and streamer, IShowSpeed is one of the most famous faces in the world right now. The 19-year-old has shot to fame in recent years, partaking in crazy challenges and regularly uploading on social media.
IShowSpeed’s most recent challenge was a sparring session with UFC star Dan Hooker. Hooker, who has fought 22 times in the UFC, is a veteran of the sport of MMA, and remains one of the best 155-pound fighters in Dana White‘s organisation today.
It’s fair to say that the sparring session didn’t go very well for Speed. Who knows what he was expecting to happen, but it was apparent from the beginning that he was never going to last long in the octagon with an active UFC stalwart.
The sparring session took place in New Zealand, where Hooker is preparing for an upcoming fight. IShowSpeed has recently been touring around New Zealand, with part of his trip including a visit to Hooker’s gym for a move around in the octagon.
As you can see in the clip below, Hooker battered the popular streamer from every angle, knocking him down to the canvas where Speed could no longer continue to fight.

UFC Star Hooker Praises IShowSpeed For His Toughness
Although it looks like Dan Hooker has immense fun beating up IShowSpeed in their recent sparring session, he was also full of praise for the 19-year-old.
After trading blows in the cage and moving around the octagon for a few minutes, Hooker has praised the American for having “balls of steel.”
To give Speed his credit, he has been prone to challenging elite athletes at their own game. Only recently, he came agonisingly close to beating Olympic Gold medallist Noah Lyles in a 50-metre sprint. Lyles is the fast man on the planet over 100m, and Speed came very close to beating him.

However, his sparring session with the UFC veteran wasn’t as promising, with IShowSpeed taking punches from every angle as well as dropping to the canvas on multiple occasions.
Speed had even set some ground rules before the spar including no kicks, no submissions and bigger boxing gloves too. Ultimately none of it made a difference as Hooker beat up the popular streamer with total ease.
