WATCH: Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Newcastle United Highlights

Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak scored the all-important goals as Newcastle claimed a 2-1 win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday, and you can watch the full match highlights below.

Magpies Come From Behind To Topple Spurs

In-form Newcastle United headed to North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League‘s early kick-off on Saturday afternoon, with Eddie Howe’s side looking to make it six successive wins across all competitions.

Spurs, meanwhile, came into this one in dreadful form, having won just two of their previous 10 matches, including a 2-2 draw with Wolves last time out and defeats to Nottingham Forest and Liverpool in the two games prior.

As has been the case in many Tottenham matches this term, the game got off to a frantic start.

Pedro Porro delivered an enticing curled cross into the box towards Dominic Solanke, who headed home brilliantly after just four minutes, with England manager Thomas Tuchel watching on from the stands.

The lead was short-lived though, as Anthony Gordon smashed home a contentious leveller beyond Brandon Austin less than three minutes later. Replays showed the ball striking Joelinton’s hand in the buildup, however VAR didn’t intervene, and the equaliser was confirmed.

Following the goal, Newcastle took control of the match, and they were rewarded for their dominance in the 38th minute.

Star man Alexander Isak, who had eight goals and two assists in his last six league matches heading into the tie, got on the end of Tino Livramento’s cross, which struck Radu Dragusin on the way through, turning into an almost empty net from close range.

It was a much-improved performance from Tottenham in the second period, and despite Solanke, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Sergio Reguilon going close, they were unable to find a leveller.

The result sees Spurs maintain their position in 11th place in the table, however they could finish the gameweek as low as 14th, while the Magpies maintain their position in fifth place, behind Liverpool, Arsenal, Forest and Chelsea.

WATCH: Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle Highlights

Up next for the pair are back-to-back matches in cup competitions. First up, for Tottenham, they host Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie on Wednesday evening, before a trip to National League side Tamworth in the FA Cup third round on the following Sunday.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are also in Carabao Cup semi-final action away at Arsenal for the first leg of their tie on Tuesday night. Following that, they welcome League Two outfit Bromley to St. James’ Park in the FA Cup.
