Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears has been one of the most electric rookie playmakers this franchise has selected in quite some time.
The third-round pick is third in scrimmage yards (639) among his rookie peers at the running back position. The only players ahead of him (Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs) were selected in the first 12 picks of the 2023 NFL draft and have gotten significantly more touches than the Tulane product has.
One of the more underrated areas of Spears’ game is the contagious energy he brings to the entire team — and thanks to a five-minute mic’d up video from Week 14, we got a better understanding of the type of passion the Titans’ rookie running back plays with.
Throughout the video, his confidence and unwavering belief that Tennessee was going to win the game was evident. He constantly kept reminding his teammates that they were capable of shocking the world.
"It's crazy. We're finna beat the Miami Dolphins, bruh. The whole world counted us out."

More importantly, his play spoke volumes, as well. Tennessee’s electric ball carrier finished the day with 118 total yards, 89 of which came through the air. He also had some big catches on one of Tennessee’s fourth-quarter scoring drives.
Spears legitimately has the potential to be the next great running back in franchise history, as long as he can stay healthy.
