Earlier this year, I rode the world's most powerful production ATV in the form of the Can-Am Outlander XT-P 1000R, which made me feel like a baby that'd been given a bazooka. With that in mind, I couldn't imagine how it'd feel to stand next to the Sokol ATV.
Take the biggest ATV you've ever seen and give it gigantism, and you have the Sokol.
It measures 114 x 67 x 79 inches, making it just two inches shorter than the height of the average US male. It's as ridiculously heavy as its dimensions would suggest, stopping the scales at 1,760 lbs, which is more than the Yamaha YXZ1000R UTV FYI. Considering prices start at $17,000, that's a helluva lot of machine for the money, and we haven't even gotten to its juiciest feature.
Between the rider's legs sits a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder Toyota 1NZ-FE engine that pumps out 110 horsepower to all four wheels via an automatic transmission, which is enough to give this beast a top speed of 53 mph.
That's not a top speed to write home about, but you have to imagine that, on this, it must feel like going flat out sitting atop a tank. In fact, it's probably more like going flat out in a monster truck, as the video below shows.
If you check out Sokol's website you'll find tons of options for the ATV, which could see you nearly doubling the price of the base model, and if you wanted to import one you're looking at around an extra $8,000 for shipping and taxes. So the true figure to get one of these sitting next to your garage rather than in it, is probably about $25,000.
In the world of powersports, that can you get that's more of a show-stopper than this for $25,000? Let us know in the comments.
