There was very little drama last week in the Rams’ 41-10 loss to the Cardinals, but Sunday’s game against the 49ers was full of excitement – particularly in the second half. The last 3 minutes were absolutely wild, with the Rams erasing a seven-point deficit to win by three points in regulation, 27-24.
The 49ers had a great chance to put the game away late in the fourth quarter when they were leading 24-17, but Jake Moody missed a 55-yard field goal, which would’ve made it a two-score game with only 2:48 left to play.
Matthew Stafford made San Francisco pay by hitting Tutu Atwell for a 50-yard gain to set up Kyren Williams’ third touchdown, which tied the game. Then on the ensuing drive, the defense stopped the 49ers after five plays and got the ball back for the offense with a chance to win the game.
If you missed the last 3 minutes, you’ll want to rewatch them in the video below. Just how crazy were they? The highlight package is 17-minutes long, showing just how dramatic the finish was.
