C.J. Stroud has found another weapon.
The Houston Texans’ No. 2 overall pick has managed to connect with tight end Dalton Schultz for 17 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns over the first five weeks. Schultz was Stroud’s last touchdown target in the failed comeback against the Atlanta Falcons the week prior.
Schultz was also Stroud’s first touchdown target against the New Orleans Saints as the rookie quarterback hit the former Dallas Cowboys 2018 fourth-round pick for a 1-yard score with 3:45 to go in the first quarter.
Jordan Akins led Houston tight ends with five touchdown catches last season.
