This is the shocking moment a man escapes death by just milliseconds after walking across a train crossing in north London.
The unknown member of the public could be seen forcing his way through the barriers at Brimsdown level crossing in Enfield and heading across the track - despite an oncoming train.
The video showed the man only managing to escape with his life just in the nick-of-time shortly before 6pm on May 5 in 2020.
Footage was released by Network Rail to highlight the dangers of attempting to use a level crossing when the barriers are shut.
A spokesperson told the Standard: “This footage shows exactly how dangerous it is to cross at a level crossing when the barriers are down. This person had a very lucky escape. There is simply no excuse for this reckless behaviour.”
Social media users have slammed the man’s carelessness in the comments section.
