There is no feeling like winning an NBA championship. However, the same is true of winning an Olympic gold medal, even if it is a different feeling altogether.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as their Team USA mates got to experience that feeling on Saturday by defeating France 98-87. James and Davis had their usual strong performances, while Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was outstanding with 24 points and eight 3-pointers.
Once the game ended, the members of Team USA men’s basketball received their gold medals in what had to be an incredibly emotional moment for them. You can watch the video here, via NBC Sports.
James now has three Olympic gold medals, to go along with a bronze medal he earned in 2004. Davis, meanwhile, now has two Olympic gold medals of his own.
