Taylor Swift hasn’t attended any of the Kansas City Chiefs games over the last few weeks as she prepared for her international “Eras” tour. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce traveled to South America to see Swift perform during Kansas City’s bye week, but couldn’t have expected that the 12-time Grammy winner would amend one of the lyrics in her songs to include a direct reference to him.

During her song “Karma,” which topped the Billboard charts earlier in 2023, Swift changed the lyric “[Because] karma is my boyfriend” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” referencing her well-traveled significant other.
If there was any doubt about these celebrities’ entanglement, this new lyric will serve to clear the air about their relationship status. Clearly, the couple have formed a bond worthy of the international stage and, in time, may prove to be a match made in heaven as their careers progress in the media spotlight.
