After missing all nine of his 3-point attempts in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Steph Curry responded in signature fashion on Thursday night in Game 6 at TD Garden.
On the way to winning his fourth NBA championship and first career NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award, Curry tallied a team-high 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the field with seven rebounds and seven assists in Golden State’s title-clinching victory in Game 6.
Curry heated back up from long distance, drilling a game-high six triples on 11 attempts from beyond the arc. Then, following one of his 3-pointers, Curry broke out a new celebration.
With six minutes remaining in the third quarter, Curry pulled up from deep to drill a long ball that gave the Warriors a 22-point advantage over the Celtics. Curry capped off a run of three straight made 3-pointers from the Warriors in the third quarter.
Following his haymaker 3-pointer, Curry pointed to his ring finger, signaling his fourth piece of championship jewelry was on the way.
