WATCH: Southampton 2-3 Liverpool Highlights

Liverpool fought from behind to secure a crucial 3-2 victory over Southampton at St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoon, and you can find the full match highlights below.

Mohamed Salah At The Double On South Coast

It was top against bottom at St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoon as Premier League leaders Liverpool took on struggling Southampton, with the Reds looking to extend their lead at the summit to eight points.

Manchester City’s shocking 4-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday meant that the Reds had the opportunity to give themselves an even bigger safety net at the top of the table, and unsurprisingly, they did just that, but not without drama.

Arne Slot’s side were gifted an opener on the half hour mark. Alex McCarthy attempted to play out from the back, but after some strong pressure from the Liverpool attackers and a misplaced pass, Dominik Szoboszlai was on hand to curl into the top left corner.

12 minutes later though, Southampton were awarded a dubious penalty after Andrew Robertson brought down impressive youngster Tyler Dibling. Adam Armstrong’s initial effort from 12 yards was saved well by Caoimhin Kelleher, however the forward was quick to pounce and slotted home the rebound.

Not long after re-emerging for the second-half, the Saints surprisingly took the lead. An excellent counter-attack saw Armstrong play Mateus Fernandes in, and the Portuguese youngster made no mistake in sweeping his effort past Kelleher.

As so often happens when Liverpool need someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck, Mohamed Salah did exactly that. The Egyptian drew his side level from a beautifully weighted Ryan Gravenberch through ball before completing the comeback from the spot less than 10 minutes from time.
