The Seattle Seahawks survived a scare Sunday with a 29-26 home win over the Washington Commanders to remain in a first-place tie with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West.
One player who played a major role in the Seahawks’ win was wide receiver DK Metcalf. The hulking receiver caught seven passes for 98 yards on a game-high 12 targets. Metcalf also drew a critical pass interference penalty on Washington cornerback Benjamin St-Juste in the fourth quarter on a fourth-down play.
After the game, Metcalf was greeting several Washington players, one of whom was veteran tight end Logan Thomas.
Thomas went up to Metcalf, congratulating him on a good game, to which Metcalf responded, “Yes, sir, you too, brother.”
Thomas then proceeded to let Metcalf know his son was a huge fan of the Seahawks star and he was “built just like” him.
Without missing a beat, Metcalf, appreciative of what Thomas had told him, quickly removed his jersey for Thomas to give his son. Metcalf personalized the jersey.
"My son's a big fan."
