Roy Keane furiously criticised Manchester United trio David de Gea, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw after Steven Bergwijn put Tottenham 1-0 ahead on Friday night.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United side entered the game in fifth position, looking to momentarily overtake Frank Lampard's Chelsea in fourth.
The Red Devils found themselves 1-0 down at half-time, however, with Tottenham January signing Steven Bergwijn scoring a sublime solo effort.
The £27million signing eased past Harry Maguire, before smashing the ball goalwards. De Gea - who should have done better - could only parry the shot into the roof of the net.
And Keane - speaking on Sky Sports in the interval - launched a scathing attack at the pair.
"I'm shocked at that goal," he said. "I've watched a lot of football over the years, but to give away that goal... I'm fuming watching this game of football.
"I can't believe Manchester United! I can't believe [Luke] Shaw, heading the ball in the air and then running forward.
"I am staggered at Maguire. Staggered that an international player can get done like this.
"And I am sick to death of this goalkeeper. I would be finding him at half-time; there's no getting away from that.
"I would be swinging punches at that guy. This is an established international goalkeeper, I am flabbergasted.
"Maguire and de Gea, I wouldn't even be letting them on the bus at the end of the match," he added. "Get a taxi back to Manchester."
He continued: "I am disgusted with it - Maguire, de Gea, you should hang your heads in shame."
