Rory McIlroy bounced back from his US Open disappointment in style with an ace at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.
McIlroy had to settled for second place at Los Angeles Country Club on Sunday finishing a shot behind eventual winner Wyndham Clark.
The Holywood man struggled on the greens making only one birdie on the final day to finish on 70.

But he had no such problems on day one at TPC River Highlands.
On the 214-yard eighth hole McIlroy's tee shot landed around 15 feet short of the pin before rolling into the hole for an ace.
Remarkably it is his first-ever hole-in-one on a PGA Tour event.
It came after a slow start for the world number three who suffered back to back bogeys on the fourth and fifth after a birdie on the second.
