Part of what drew the Rams to Kyren Williams in the draft this year was his passion for football and leadership qualities. He’s only a rookie, but Williams has already impressed the coaching staff in 2022.
Sean McVay even said a few weeks ago that Williams is the type of player the Rams “want in this building,” calling him a pro and “mature beyond his years.”
That’s evident in the latest video released by the Rams where Williams was mic’d up against the Chiefs on Sunday. He’s very vocal on the field and on the sideline, emphasizing the importance of communication.
If Williams becomes a bigger part of the offense in the next two years, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him with a ‘C’ on his uniform as a team captain.
