Watch Rams CB Ahkello Witherspoon’s epic game-saving interception vs. Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams let the Arizona Cardinals hang around for 59 minutes on Saturday night but when they needed to make a play in the biggest moment of the game, Ahkello Witherspoon delivered in the clutch.

With 42 seconds left in the fourth quarter and the Rams leading by four points, Kyler Murray’s pass from the 5-yard line was deflected off of Trey McBride and hung in the air for seemingly 10 seconds. Ahkello Witherspoon, who was in coverage on another receiver, saw it floating in the end zone, dove, and secured the catch for a game-saving interception.

It was one of the best plays of the year by the Rams, preventing the Cardinals from stealing a win at SoFi Stadium.

The Rams shared another camera angle of the interception and it really shows how difficult a play it was for Witherspoon to make.

He showed great awareness to find the ball despite not being thrown his way and he used every inch of his frame to not only catch it, but secure it all the way to the ground.

What a play. And it might be the one that punches the Rams’ ticket to the playoffs.

Los Angeles held on to beat the Cardinals, 13-9, maintaining its sole possession of first place in the division.
