WATCH: Protester Gets Tasered At Marjorie Taylor Greene Raucous Town Hall As Crowd Looks On

A man was tasered on Tuesday night at a town hall hosted by Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in Acworth, Georgia, as attendees looked on.

The incident was part of a raucous event, in which three people ended up being arrested. Others were also escorted out as the lawmaker claimed they were being disruptive.

However, most of the 150 attendees were supportive of Greene, who vowed to "stand by my president" during a passage of her address as she answered to a critical question. She added that she would "fight for his agenda with everything I have in Congress."

Greene is one of the few Republicans holding such events in their hometowns after being advised not to do so by he chair of the House GOP's campaign arm, Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), who told his fellow House Republicans in early March to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts and policies undertaken by the Trump administration.

Republicans have largely dismissed the town hall uproar, claiming the presence of "paid troublemakers," people who attended the meeting with the sole purpose of causing noise. In fact, Greene dismissed some of the hostile questions she received, claiming that those who had submitted them were Democrats "brainwashed" by their news diet. She had also restricted registration for the town hall to residents of her district.

In another passage of the town hall, Greene dismissed the economic impact of President Donald Trump's tariffs, saying the "real economy" is thriving and that people shouldn't worry about volatility stock and bond markets. However, most economists consider the U.S. will enter a recession because of the tariffs, and some claim it has already begun.

"The tax on the American people that you've been suffering with is the inflation that Biden and the Democrats put on the American people and their absolute reckless spending for the past four years," Greene said. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has anticipated that tariffs will increase inflation.

However, Greene said the positive impact of Trump's measures could take time to show and told attendees to not be a "Panicans." "That's a new word President Trump came up with," she explained.

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley also faced opposition in his Iowa town hall on Tuesday, being questioned about border security policies and the Trump administration's immigration enforcement measures, as well as the wrongful deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador The Guardian reported.
