The Minnesota Vikings struggled mightily in the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles who led 24-7. That continued into the second half when the Eagles drove down the field and attempted a field goal.
The Vikings hadn’t been able to stop the Eagles offense in this game and they drove down the field with ease in the second half to setup Jake Elliott for an easy field goal.
While it seemed easy, the Eagles didn’t account for Patrick Peterson coming off the edge and blocking the kick.

Kris Boyd picked it up and took it down to the Eagles 29 yard line. It looked like it could be a major momentum changer for the Vikings but quarterback Kirk Cousins thew an ugly interception to Avonte Maddox on a smash concept to the left side.
Even though it didn’t amount to anything, it was a feather in the cap for a special teams unit who has had a great game.
