A small Dublin crowd was blown away when Paolo Nutini played an intimate gig yesterday.
The star travelled to Tower Records to promote his new album 'Last Night in the Bittersweet', his first collection of new music since 2014. Paolo played five songs to a tiny lunchtime crowd after his eight year break from the spotlight.
Olympic hero Kellie Harrington was one of the delighted Dubs in the packed Dawson Street shop crowd. She posted a gorgeous picture of the pair onto Instagram.

Kellie said: "Today I had a total fan girl moment. I got to attend a small intimate gig in @towerrecordsdublin where the brilliant @paolonutini was playing for some of his fans.
"It's not too often I get speechless when I meet someone but today I was almost picking my jaw up from the floor (and that wasn't from sparring). I am as high as a kite right now."
Paolo is best known for tracks like "Candy" and "Last Request" with the 35-year-old promising even more music is on its way.
Fans were thrilled to see the Scotsman back on stage and packed into the small space to watch the gig. After his set, Paolo patiently posed for selfies and chatted to fans who stressed how happy they were to see him back in the public eye.
The singer-songwriter assured people that he's here to stay and took time to chat to as many as possible. He will be back in Dublin later this summer to play in the 3Olympia.
The highly-anticipated gig takes place on 24 August with Paolo touring throughout the summer. People took to Twitter to applaud the very special set.
One person said: "This happened today and I am quite literally walking on a cloud."
Another wrote: "Goosebumps on goosebumps watching @PaoloNutini play 5 songs from the new album for the lucky few at lunchtime in @TowerDublin including our very own Kellie Harrington.
"Very special."
