Um . . . the Carolina Panthers weren’t supposed to be doing this today.
Two quarters of this Week 7 matchup are now in the books and it’s the team that’s seemingly tanking—not the one with Tom Brady under center—that has a 7-0 lead at the half. And they’re there thanks to wide receiver DJ Moore.
With just over three minutes remaining in what was a scoreless half, quarterback PJ Walker and the Panthers began their fourth drive of the day at their own 20-yard line. What ensued was an eye-opening six-play, 80-yard touchdown drive that ended in the hands (with some help from the toes) of Moore.

The impressive 20-yard strike put up the contest’s first points with just 29 seconds left in the quarter. It was also Moore’s second touchdown of what has been an otherwise quiet season for the usually busy pass catcher.
Moore goes into the break with a game-high six catches and 59 receiving yards.
