Christian McCaffrey didn’t help bring a Lombardi Trophy to 800 S Mint Street. Heck, the Carolina Panthers never even won a playoff game over his five and a half years as a member of the organization.
But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t special.
After trading their star running back to the San Francisco 49ers late Thursday night, the Panthers threw McCaffrey one more salute. That thank you came in the form of a touching tribute video, one that included some of the most thrilling and memorable moments of his six-season tenure in the black and blue.

McCaffrey moves on having etched his name into franchise lure. He ranks fourth in rushing yards (3,980), fifth in scrimmage yards (7,272) and fifth in scrimmage touchdowns (50).
His remarkable 2019 campaign was also one of the greatest ever by a Panther. McCaffrey became just the third player in league history to amass a 1,000-1,000 season, recording 1,387 rushing yards and 1,005 receiving yards along with 19 total touchdowns.
